In leading the Warriors to a169-147 victory, Chamberlain broke his own single-game scoring record of 78 points set on Dec. 8, 1961, against the Los Angeles Lakers, a game that included multiple overtime periods. He topped the rebounding leaderboards, too, and took the leagues crown in 11 of his 14 seasons, often averaging by himself what an entire frontcourt does in the modern NBA.
